What is the PAD Program?
The Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) program is a community-driven initiative that seeks to improve the chances of survival during cardiac emergencies by making Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) easily accessible throughout the city. In partnership with local non-profit organizations and community stakeholders, the program ensures AEDs are placed in high-traffic areas, such as schools, parks, businesses, and other public locations, where bystanders can quickly access them in case of a cardiac arrest.
By participating in the PAD program, community members help create a safer environment, where lifesaving equipment is available when it matters most. The Winter Garden Fire Rescue Department provides education and training on AED usage, to empower residents to act confidently and effectively during emergencies. Want to learn CPR and AED use?
