City of Winter Garden Nonprofit Grant Program
We're looking for bright ideas and creative solutions to uplift our Winter Garden Community!
Program Overview
The City of Winter Garden seeks to support local nonprofits through targeted grant funding efforts that enable community support and family stability, promote economic empowerment and sustainable development, and prioritizes the physical and emotional wellness of our residents. These grants are designed to enhance organizational capacity and strengthen programs that directly serve the residents who live within the municipal city limits of Winter Garden.
Grants Categories & Priorities
Community Support and Family Stability
Activities, services, and support programs that improve, equip, or maintain the healthy social and emotional well-being of the family unit, both individually and collectively to ensure a nurturing household with meaningful and lasting impact that is productive and wholesome for the community.
Economic Empowerment and Sustainable Development
Activities, services, and support programs that improve, equip, or maintain the life skills, soft skills, abilities, aptitude, knowledge, character, leadership, competency, service, and social development in a manner that translates to lasting economic gain, opportunities, and access for self-actualization.
Health and Wellness
Provision of preventive and treatment health services including counseling, activities, services, and support programs that improve, enable, or maintain the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of individuals and families.
Eligibility & Funding Levels
There are two funding tracks depending on applicant history:
Letter of Inquiry (LOI) – Up to $1,500
- Available only to organizations that have never received funding from the City of Winter Garden.
- First-time applicants are only eligible to apply for an LOI application.
Grant Application – Up to $10,000
- Available to organizations that have previously received grant funding from the City.
- Returning applicants should complete the full grant application.
Service Area & Program Requirements
- Proposed programs must directly serve residents who live within the municipal city limits of Winter Garden.
- Programs must be designed so that all beneficiaries are Winter Garden residents.
- Organizations located outside the city limits may still apply, but only if their proposed services are provided exclusively to residents within the City of Winter Garden boundaries.
Required Nonprofit Search Profile
- All applicants must have a completed and approved Nonprofit Search profile through Central Florida Foundation.
- Applications will not be considered until the Nonprofit Search profile is fully approved and up-to-date.
- If you do not have a profile or are not sure if you have one, please contact Susan Ponce at nps@cffound.org with your EIN #, organization name, your name, title, and the best contact email address.
- To check if your profile is live, click HERE and search for your organization's name in the directory.
Application Process
First-time applicants must submit an LOI.

- You’ll be prompted to create a username and password to access the application.
- Please use the following access code: WGLOI2024
- Applications are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis.
- Organizations may receive funding only once per fiscal year (October 1–September 30), or once within any 12-month period.
- All applications are reviewed based on program alignment, community impact, organizational capacity, and ability to directly serve only Winter Garden residents within city limits.
Returning applicants who have previously received City funding may submit the full grant application.

Accountability & Documentation
- Awarded organizations must provide clear documentation that program services funded by the City were delivered within the municipal boundaries of Winter Garden. Click here for City map.
- Incomplete service area descriptions or a lack of verification may result in disqualification or ineligibility for future cycles.
