Legacy Fund Home Rehabilitation Program

In 2023, the City of Winter Garden CRA approved funding of a new initiative committing $1.25 million dollars to benefit the homeowners of the Historic East Winter Garden Neighborhood. The goal of the program is to provide repair improvements on 15-20 homes annually.  On June 10th, 2025, the CRA also approved the official launch of the Legacy Fund Home Rehabilitation Program to commence home repairs. The program will initially begin as a Pilot to complete interior/exterior repairs of four (4) homes as a first step to refine the important lessons learned before the full launch of home repairs on 15-20 homes annually per program goal. The program will also offer grant funding of up to $50,000 (max) for home repairs to each eligible and approved homeowner. Support for this Legacy Fund Home Rehabilitation Program is enabled by our Orange County Government for which the City of Winter Garden is grateful. The CRA has engaged Rebuilding Together Greater Florida  as a critical partner to administer and manage the program's operation to include the application, inspection an repair processes. Rebuilding Together Greater Florida (RTGFL) has an incredible 25-year track record of success improving the safety and quality of life for homeowners through home repairs all throughout Florida. The City of Winter Garden is beyond thrilled to have them as a partner to help preserve the homes and heritage of residents in our beloved Historic East Winter Garden Neighborhood.  Also see a short Video overview of RTGFL for more on their mission.
