The City of Winter Garden is hosting a number of family-friendly activities in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Black History Month. The City is including some other activities that may be of interest to your family.

Art in Public Places presents Despite the Obstacles: Educating African American Students in the Days of Segregation.
The exhibit features over 20 photographs documenting the challenges and successes experienced by African American students prior to the integration of Orange County’s public schools in 1969.

The Winter Garden Library is hosting I Have a Dream, a family-friendly virtual program to celebrate the life and dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with stories and crafts inspired by your own dreams, the importance of peace and togetherness. Recommended for ages 6-12.
