The City of Winter Garden is currently monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak in Florida.
State of Florida News and Information:
Governor Ron DeSantis’ statewide task force has provided guidelines for a phased approach to re-open Florida. The Governor’s Plan to re-open Florida is called "SAFE. SMART. STEP-BY-STEP.” Please find attached the new Executive Order signed by the Governor describing the Phase 1 recovery plan to re-open Florida, effective May 4, 2020.

The City supports re-opening our community under the phased approach, and has passed an emergency ordinance allowing for some businesses to open at 25% occupancy effective May 4, 2020.
City Hall, Police, and Fire Station lobbies are currently open to the public. The Utility Payment Office continues to be closed to the public. Parks and Recreation Programs are cancelled until further notice. Please read below for more detail.
Utility Payment Office Updates:
Until further notice, the Utility Payment Office located in City Hall is closed the public. We encourage those making utility payments to pay via phone, 24/7 using a credit or debit card by calling 407-656-5437 or on-line via the City’s website. Payments may also be placed in the Utility Billing drop boxes 24/7, which are located both in the City Hall parking lot and also outside of City Hall’s rear entrance. Those with service questions may call 407-656-4100, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. If you need to start new service, please check the City’s UB website for required forms or call 407-656-4100 for direction. There will be no shut-off for non-payment and no late fees assessed on your account during this time. Please check this page for updates.
City of Winter Garden Public Meetings:
Unless cancelled, City of Winter Garden Public Meetings are being held remotely via GoToWebinar. This includes large meetings including City Commission, Planning and Zoning Board, Architectural Review Board, and Code Enforcement Board meetings. Please check our City calendar for information on how to connect.
All City-sponsored events are postponed or canceled until further notice. The City will continue to provide updates as we move forward. Please check this page for updates.
Parks & Recreation Programs:
All Parks & Recreation programs are canceled until further notice. Note that cancellations include all sporting events, City pools, and the City’s splash pad. Parks remain open at this time, but we ask that you refrain from using playground equipment and use proper social distancing tactics.
The Farmers Market will remain open on Saturday (new hours are 8 am to 1 pm) and Wednesday (3 to 7 pm), but will include food along with some personal and plant items (vegetables, fruit, bread, dairy, seafood, meat, prepared foods, personal products and plants etc.). Hand-washing and hand-sanitizer stations will be available for use throughout the market. Vendor booths and check out areas will be staggered to meet social distancing requirements.
