Water Conservation

Meeting Water Needs

Providing for our residents’ current water needs while planning ahead to meet projected needs is a top priority for the City.

Conservation Measures

To ensure the availability of this precious resource for future generations, the withdrawal of fresh water from our ecosystem cannot exceed its natural replacement rate. As Florida’s population continues to grow, it is increasingly vital that we take measures to conserve this life-sustaining natural resource.

Resources Available

On this site, residents may find the knowledge and tools they need to use water effectively and efficiently in their everyday lives. Every drop counts and every person can make a difference!

Drop Saver Poster Contest

The City of Winter Garden cordially invites students to participate in our "Drop Savers" poster contest. Students in grades K-12 are encouraged to create a poster depicting a water conservation idea in slogan form, drawing form, or both. The contest teaches elementary aged school children, and reminds middle and high school aged teens about the importance of water conservation. We feel that our best opportunity to conserve water is through a long-range education and awareness program, beginning with our young people.
