All programs are held at the Jessie Brock Community Center, 310 North Dillard Street, unless otherwise noted.
Spring Break Holiday Camp
A fun way to spend time with friends from school and your favorite Recreation staff! Camps are held on most Orange County Public School breaks. Campers must bring a packed lunch, snacks and a water bottle to camp everyday.
Dates: March 23 and March 26-30
Times: 7:00am – 6:00pm
Ages: 5* to 13 (*5 year old campers must have begun kindergarten)
Fees: $19.00 per day per child for City Residents
$24.00 per day per child for Non-Residents
Summer Day Camp 2012
Games, sports, art, crafts, swimming, field trips, theme days and much, much more!!! A great way to spend the summer and make lifelong friends! Winter Garden Parks and Recreation Summer Day Camp is an awesome experience for your school aged child. Campers will experience the outdoors, friends and FUN!!! A qualified, well-trained staff will provide a safe and outstanding summer for your child. Camp is open to all children entering 1st through 8th grade. Campers must bring a packed lunch, snacks and a water bottle to camp every day. Registration opens April 21, 2012.
Limited scholarships are available through the Winter Garden Parks & Recreation Department. Scholarships are based on the Income Eligibility Guidelines used for the National School Lunch Program. Applications for scholarships will be available beginning February 1, 2012 and must be accepted by March 16, 2012. Scholarships will be awarded on April 6, 2012. Summer Day Camp Counselor-In-Training Program
The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is specifically designed to develop the skills needed to be a positive leader and role model in the summer day camp. CITs will be given a behind the scenes glimpse at camp planning, policies and administration. Each CIT will be assigned to work with a specific group in the summer day camp, and through hands-on experience, will work side by side with the camp counselors and Camp Director. This program will give participants a chance to explore leadership opportunities in a camp setting, responsibilities involved in working with children and fun teambuilding activities.
Limited space is available. In order to be eligible for this program, interested participants must complete an application. Applications will be available beginning February 13, 2012. All applications must be completed and returned by March 23, 2012. No late applications will be accepted. To obtain please contact the Parks & Recreation Office or email mmazza@wintergarden-fl.gov.
