Winter Gardens procurement process is managed by the city manager, the department of economic development and the administrative staff which are all located in city hall. The city manager and staff are responsible for the handling of all bids, contracts and services related to construction or services provided to the city.

City Hall
The new City Hall Complex at 300 W. Plant St. has started and is on schedule. The anticipated move-in date is June 23, 2008. |
Daniels Road Fire Station # 22
The new Fire Station at the corner of Daniels Rd. and Foxcrest Blvd. is scheduled for construction late this year. Completion of this project is scheduled for May 2008. |
Zanders Park
The refurbishing of Zanders Park, at the corner of 11th and Klondike Streets, will start this fall and open in April of 2008. |
Southside Park
The new Southside Park, located next to the Winter Garden Cemetery on CR 535 is going through the permitting phase and construction should start this fall. The completion of this project is early fall of 2008. |
Phase 1 Reuse Pumping and Storage Facilities
Phase I of the reuse system began operation April 17, 2008, serving Fuller’s Crossing and Fuller’s Landing subdivisions. Phase II of the Reuse Pumping and Storage Facilities is under design. |
East Bay Street and West Crown Point Road Drainage Improvements
This project consists of making improvements to the stormwater system to eliminate standing water on the intersection after a rain event. Construction will begin in late April, 2008. |
Trunk Line “C” Reuse Water and Force Main
Phase 3B, 3C and 3D have been completed and Phase 4 is under design. Phase 5 will extend these utilities from Highway 50 and CR 545 to W. Plant Street, west of the intersection of Story Road and W. Plant Street. Bids were received on Phase 5 with the project being awarded to Emerald Utilities and Site Development. This phase is currently under construction. |
CR 545 Segment #1, Tilden Road Intersection
This project consists of traffic signal improvements and widening the road to four lanes 1,400 feet west of the Tilden Road and CR 545 intersection, going 1,100 feet south of Stoneybrook West Boulevard. The project is being funded through developer contribution, and is currently in the design phase. |
CR 545 Segment 2, Tilden Road Intersection to Hickory Hammock Pond
This project consists of widening the road to four lanes from 1,100 feet south of Stoneybrook West Boulevard, to 2,000 feet north of Stoneybrook West Boulevard. The project is being funded through developer contribution, and is currently in the design phase. |
Marsh Road CR 545 to western line of Hickory Hammock Pond
This project consists of widening the road to four lanes from CR 545 to 2,700 feet west on Marsh Road. The project is being funded through developer contribution, and is currently in the design phase. |
West Crown Point Road, SR 438 Intersection Improvements
This project consists of widening the road to four lanes, adding left turn lanes and traffic signals. The project is currently under design and will begin construction in the summer of 2008. |
Park at Warrior Road and Windermere Road
This property was recently purchased for a City park. Improvements will be budgeted for next fiscal year. |
West Crown Point Springs Force Main and Reuse Main
This project is under design and scheduled for construction in 2008. |
